It was a hot but comfy afternoon for Movement as the downtown techno fest moved through its midway stretch Sunday.

Fest-goers filtered into Hart Plaza on a lazy day, shaking off the fuzzies from a long Saturday night that included a potent set by Richie Hawtin and a slew of after-parties around Detroit. The long techno weekend can be an endurance test for even the heartiest of young fans, but by late afternoon Sunday, the energy was clearly picking up as temperatures dropped and second winds kicked in.

Much of the event's daytime energy was focused on the hopping Red Bull Music Academy Stage, where DJ Godfather happily filled in for a tardy Hudson Mohawke with a lively set of body-shaking booty music.
